On a bright, sunny day, I decided to drive down to the Brittona Jetty (some of their yachts also depart from Ecoxim) where they have private car parking. A 3-minute walk later, I was on board the largest yacht in Goa.

This special one is also known as the Foxy Lady, gorgeous at first sight and all that followed. It has about three floors, three bedrooms, and can accommodate up to 20 people. Anyway, as the yacht left the jetty, we started to capture beautiful views of the Chorao and Divar islands in the backwaters, three bridges between Panjim and Porvorim, and the banks of the Mandovi river. We passed by Reis Magos Fort and Miramar Beach. Right after we entered the Arabian Sea, we witnessed a lovely sunset followed by colourful skies. The party had just gotten started, and, to my excitement about sustainability, the snacks and drinks were served in reusable crockery and cutlery. The crew was well-trained, and the service was top-notch. A few hours later, I returned to the same Brittona jetty with my heart full.

The next time, I hope to ride their boat ‘Hope,’ which is pet-friendly, all the way to Aldona! I think my cats and I are going to love the Amsterdam feel, as this one is based on the open deck boat concept in the canals there. I can’t stop thinking about spotting crocodiles, immersing myself in peaceful views, and maybe stargazing. And you know, the fuel consumption is minimal too.
